To create this bag I used a black denim fabric, a bright red paint and a dark red paint, a painting sponge, and pins. The bag, which is constructed in a mini-messenger style, is meant to be an edgy take on a classic. I was inspired to use black and red after studying the aesthetics of my personal brand. I wanted the bag to be unique, artisanal, and bold while still have a semi-classic silhouette so it could stand the test of time.
I could see varieties of this bag being made from denim, leather, suede, etc. These variations of this model would be available at various price points and help the brand — En Rogue — reach different customers.
Above, you’ll see a breakdown of production costs if this bag were to be made using black thread instead of pins. It would cost $36 to create one bag. If you were creating the bag in bulk you could potentially lower the price and sell it for $30 in stores.
